Choral Connection is an auditioned chamber choir in Brisbane.

The choir commenced in 2003 and has performed regularly since that time in the Brisbane area and on the Sunshine Coast. Our musical director is currently Aleta King and our past musical director has been Paul Holley. Guest conductors have included Kate Albury, Tim Smetham and Peter Ingram. Our current accompanist is Kristie Gibson. Past accompanists have included Sarah McDonald, Michael Allport, Joanne Batterham, Kerry Nian, and Kylie Los. The choir has performed with other musical groups such as Peace and Choir, Oriana Concert Choir and Brisbane Wind and Brass. We have performed at the 4MBS Music Festival and participated in the ABC Choir of the Year competition. Our community involvements have included performing at Holy Spirit Northside Hospital and Mt Olivet Hospital. Choral Connection is a member of ANCA. We are a supportive group who offer each other great friendship and connection outside of our regular rehearsals and performances. Our annual Christmas in July get together is a highlight of the year.

November Concert - Christmas Around the World

Our November concert will be on Sunday 28th November 2010, in the Great Hall, Brisbane Grammar School, Gregory Tce, Spring Hill. Tickets for concerts are available at the door. Mission Statement

Choral Connection is an auditioned SATB community chamber choir with a membership of 35 singers. The choir enjoys performing music representing a variety of musical styles from renaissance madrigals to jazz, multicultural and contemporary compositions. Whilst many choir members are not professional musicians, the group wishes to create and maintain a high standard of choral performance and offer a special musical experience to the residents of Brisbane. Although the primary focus is on making good music come to life, we recognise that there is a very important social element to choral singing and hence the inclusion of Connection in our name.
